Nazira's story

Nazira is a 41-year-old, married, mother of many children (2 sons and 2 daughters). She has a high school education. After graduating, Nazira got married at a young age. Since 1994, she has been engaged in agriculture, raising livestock, and arable farming, starting with a sum of 10,000 som (KGS). Her husband and children actively assist in the business. Through Nazira's hard work, she today has a good homestead: one dairy cow, one heifer, one calf, and one horse with a foal. She also has available 1.86 hectares of irrigated land where she plants every year beans and perennial grasses.

Profits allowed Nazira to propagate livestock in her homestead and thus improve the family's well-being. In order to further develop her business, Nazira turned to the microfinance bank Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan of 80,000 som (KGS) to but a cow and mineral fertilizers.

Nazira plans to invest income from the loan to further increase her count of livestock, and also intends to finish building the house in which she lives her family.
