A loan of $450 helped to buy a grill for booking and tarpaulin for the metal structure.

Antonio's story

Antonio is originally from the city Villa Hidalgo, in Zacatecas. He lived there until he was 9 years old. Since then he has lived in the state of Nuevo León, where he grew up. At the age of 19, he married Sendy. This August they celebrate their 20 year anniversary. Together they formed a lovely family, with 3 daughters, who are 12, 15 and 17 years old. Together with his wife, they have fought hard so that their family wants for nothing.

For the past 3 years Antonio has been running a business selling grilled chickens. His wife works in a company. They are working to pay for their home, where they have lived for one year. They live in Juárez city, Nuevo León. Antonio explains that he used to work as a builder. But a friend of his, who worked in the same sector, also sold grilled chickens at weekends. This friend taught him the recipe and mentioned to Antonio that once he had learned this, he would be able to set up his own business. And so, on 20th April 2010 he opened his grilled chickens business for the first time. He used his savings and his own hard work to open the business.

It has been going very well for him and he is thinking about opening another one in the future. The loan that he is requesting is to buy another grill and tarpaulin for the metal structure.
