Merita's story

Merita, 34 years old, is married to Ausberto and has 3 children aged 6, 12, and 14. She lives with them in her own house. Merita sells staple grocery items. For this she opened a small shop in her home, where she set up and put in all of the necessary items requested by her customers, on whom she waits in a friendly and cordial way. Up to now she has had her husband's help. She started 3 years ago, buying in small quantities with her own capital, and seeing that she got positive results, she decided to continue and to buy in greater quantity in order to satisfy her customers' needs. This is her first loan with Kiva, and she is thankful for receiving financial support that allows her to continue moving forward with her business. With the amount requested of 1300 nuevos soles, she will buy more grocery products such as flour, milk, vegetable soup, and rice, among others.
