A loan of $400 helped to remodel the outside of her house.

Elvia's story

Elvia's from the city of San Luis Potosí but she arrived in Piedras Negras with her parents when she was only six years old. She's a trustworthy, respectful, and friendly person.

She has worked for 12 years for a very well-known business in this city. She says she's very comfortable and satisfied because she likes her job a lot and enjoys it every day.

She's the single mother of a daughter who's already a young woman of whom she's very proud. This is why she works a lot, so she never lacks for anything while she's attending school.

Elvia lives in her parents' house. She has her own house and rents it, but the tenants she had left it with a lot of damage. This is why she's requesting a Kiva loan to be able to fix it up and make some exterior repairs so it looks good. It doesn't make the impression she would like it to and she doesn't want the next tenants to see it in this condition. If they do, they might not feel comfortable living there and she doesn't want to receive any complaints about her house.
