Jorge's story

Jorge, 50, is divorced from his children’s mother; they are all independent now. He lives comfortably in his own house. Jorge works selling food items and has a home-based store to do so. He tends to customers, who for the most part are his neighbors, cordially and kindly there thus winning them over. He likes his business very much because it allows him to stay home and to have the peace of mind of having a source of income. Also, the free time that he can use to care for his home.

Seeing the good results he’s having he plans to continue growing and expanding the business. This is his first Kiva loan and he’s grateful for the financial support he’s getting to continue forward; he commits to make his payments punctually. He will use the requested 1,200 new soles to buy food items like rice, milk, flour, canned fish, etc.
