A loan of $925 helped to purchase additional items including sardines, snack foods and other groceries.

Merlinda's story

As a married mother of six children, Merlinda works hard to support her family.

She has a general store business in the Philippines, and also earns additional income from raising livestock and a computer gaming station business. Merlinda is borrowing PHP 40000 through Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF) in order to purchase additional items including sardines, snack foods and other groceries.

Merlinda has been sustaining her business activities through her past 14 loans from NWTF and more recently, through Kiva. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream of saving money to expand her business and repair her family's home.
