A loan of $350 helped to pay for more fruits and vegetables needed in her business.

Juanita's story

This is Juanita, 58, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Cresenciano, a farmer, and is a mother to her children. She, together with her husband, manages their household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Juanita operates a market stall. She sells fruit and vegetable products in the community market. She buys fruits and vegetables and sells them by the kilo. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of 500 PHP in sales every day.

To help her continue the operation of her business, she is requesting a 15,000 PHP loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more fruits and vegetables to expand her product inventory.

Juanita hopes to expand and have her own stall and dreams that her children will finish their studies. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week, where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

*All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
