Evangeline is a member of Paglaum Multi Purpose Cooperative under Credit Union Microfinance Innovation (CUMI) Program. She is involved in farming together with the help of her husband they cultivate the land and plant different kinds of vegetables and rice.
Farming is their source of income to support their daily needs. She availed fifty thousand pesos (50,000 PHP) for the needs in there rice production project. She is very thankful to Paglaum MPC to trust her with a big loan.
Evangeline has four children and all of them were married. She hopes and prays that their business will be successful and have a good harvest someday.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
