Gemma's story

As a married mother of seven children, Gemma works hard to support her family.

She has a fish-vending business in the Philippines and earns additional income from pig-fattening. Gemma is borrowing PHP 20,000 through Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF) in order to buy more fish to sell in her food stall.

Gemma has been sustaining her business activities through her past 18 loans from NWTF and, more recently, through Kiva. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream to save money to expand her business and repair her family home.
