A loan of $500 helped to pay for water rights, to connect his home to the network of potable water.

Pedro Antonio's story

Pedro Antonio, 37 years old, lives with his life partner and his three minor children, aged 16, 13, and 9, who are still attending school. He sells river sand that he purchases by the truckload because it is more affordable. He sells in places that he has identified as good for his activities. He already has many customers; people prefer him because he he sells the sand at a good price and his service is incomparable, always to customer order. As well, his spouse brings in some extra income through her daily sales of tortillas.

Pedro is an enterprising man, dedicated to his work, and also a dreamer. Every day he struggles to reach each of his goals and he dedicates maximum efforts to achieve what he sets out to do. His home is in a low-income area, but Pedro is always thinking about improving his family's quality of life. He wants to pay for water rights to connect his home to the potable water network, but he needs capital. For this reason, he is requesting a loan from FUSAI to help with this expense. Pedro Antonio has good payment references from people who know him and he is very responsible. He ensures that he can pay his debt. At the same time, he hopes that this will provide his family with the basic service of potable water and they can avoid the water-borne illnesses that can come from other sources.
