A loan of $900 helped to buy fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, to pay for labor and machinery to prepare 14,000 square meters of land and grow corn and pipían..

Rafael Alberto's story

Rafael is a 29 year old man. He is married and the father of three children. He has a lot of experience in the activities he does, such as growing winter, low-irrigation corn. His whole life he has worked in these activities and he says that he learned them from his go parents and he keeps doing them today on his own with his life's companion, with whom he has been for 9 years.

He travels about 800 metros on foot to where he catches the bus or pick up, which takes about 25 minutes to reach the city where he buys his materials (fertilizer, seeds, pesticides) to grow his corn. Later he returns paying a pick-up to bring the materials to his house where he takes them in a cart to the land where his crop is to apply them.

The loan he is asking Fundación Campo for is to buy fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, to pay for labor and machinery to prepare 14,000 square meters of land to grow corn and pipían.

Thanks to the loan, he will be bale to give his crop more benefits, and from that he hopes to have a better yield and have better income for his family and from his small profits he hopes to improve his home to provide a worthy home for his children.

His objective is to build a worthy home where his children and his life's companion can live. He also hopes that God will give him life to educate his children and keep farming the land to achieve his projected goals.
