A loan of $1,000 helped to pay for a cow.

Alvard's story

Alvard and her husband have been involved in cattle breeding for 15 years. They keep cows, calves and a pig. Alvard uses the gathered milk in cheese production and her husband sells it locally. In the village where they live, Alvard and her husband also own a plot of agricultural land where they cultivate greens for feeding the animals.

Their only stable income that helps them to cover their daily costs comes from a retirement pension and their agricultural business. They have a daughter who is 24 years old and helps her parents however she can.

By requesting this loan, Alvard would like to increase her livestock with one more cow, which will help her to get more cheese and a higher income. This is very important for Alvard and her family to be able to improve their living conditions.
