Naylya's story

Naylya is 47 years old, married and has four children (two sons and two daughters). She has a high school diploma. Since 1999 she has worked in agriculture and with livestock, starting her business with 12,000 KGS. Her monthly income from her farm is 7,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, Naylya today has three dairy cows and five sheep. She also has 7.2 hectares of land on which she plants sainfoin and barley each year. With the goal of further developing her business, Naylya turned to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 55,000 to buy bulls to fatten and resale. She plans to use the income from the loan to increase her herd.
