A loan of $425 helped to buy food and non-food items for her grocery shop.

Rajmati Kumari's story

Rajmati Kumari is a 21-year-old married woman(the man in the photo is her husband) with two children. They live in a small village called Ghusukpur Tole in Kalaiya Municipality of the Bara district of Nepal.

Within their own house, she has set up a small grocery shop where she sells different types of products like rice, pulse, sugar, etc. She has established herself as a successful micro-entrepreneur in her locality.

As a result of the success of her shop, she feels it is high time to make certain changes to the business. In particular, she wants to make the shop bigger and offer a wider range of products like rice, pulse, sugar, oil, and other non-food items. So, she requested the loan amount of 40,000 Nepalese Rupees to carry out this expansion.

She has very good personal references within her community.
