A loan of $4,675 helped a member to buy everyday basic products.

Mujeres En Acción Group's story

Beatriz Adriana is a 54-year old woman who is married and has four children, one of whom is studying. She did not have the opportunity to study herself and works selling everyday basic products at her store. She started this business 12 years ago and has a lot of experience. She counts with the support of her husband, who works in tailoring. She has put together a group and is requesting a loan that she will use to buy supplies for the store following a high demand. She will buy dairy products, eggs, oil, cereals, sugar, etc. She hopes to have a big store in the future and to provide the community with a better service. The other members of the group work in agriculture and livestock. Only 13 members of the 17 shown in the photo were granted the loan.
