The men are collaborating with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to carry out their rainy season farm work. They are on their second loan with the institution. The past loan was indeed paid back.

Corn is the crop grown by DOULAYE, who is standing second from the right in the photo. With his loan, he intends to purchase farm inputs and seeds and to pay for plowing to make use of 1.5 hectares.

After the harvest, the produce is sold to men and women customers in the city of BOUGOUNI. He plans on making a profit of 200,000 francs CFA per planting. The profit will enable him to pay back the loan and help cover the day-to-day expenses of their household.

Le groupe BENKOLA est constitué de 6 hommes mariés ayant une moyenne d’âge de 52 ans, 4 enfants et vivant tous dans des familles polygames à BOUGOUNI, un des cercle de la 3ème région administrative du Mali.
Ils collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles hivernale.
Elles sont à leur 2 eme prêt avec l’institution, le prêt passé a été bien remboursé.
Le mais est la spéculation cultivée par DOULAYE, le 2 eme débout de la droite vers la gauche.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
