A loan of $425 helped to buy fertilizers.

Anarkul's story

Anarkul is 42 years old, married, and a mother to six children, school-aged and younger (three sons and three daughters). She has a high school diploma. After the collapse of collective farms in 1994, she received a plot of land, 2.07 hectares, on which she began farming. She started her business with 10,000 KGS and now her monthly profit is 10,000 KGS. She has developed her agricultural efforts and grows mostly beans. She also works with livestock. She has one dairy cow. Her spouse helps her with the farm and also offers carpentry services. With the goal of further business development, Anarkul has turned to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 20,000 KGS to buy ammonium nitrate to fertilize her land. She plans to use the income from the loan to increase her herd and to provide her children with a worthy education.
