Saibibi's story

Saibibi is a 56-year-old widow. She, her son, daughter-in-law and grandson live in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Her son works in home repair and her daughter-in-law makes the national women's dress. Saibibi is a homemaker. Up until this time, she has not worked. She now wants to open a grocery store. She constructed a building next to her home for the store and bought a refrigerator, shelving, tables and part of her inventory. She doesn't have the funds to buy the rest of the products she intends to sell so she's taking out a loan. With the loan, she'll make the rest of the necessary purchases and open the store. Her son and daughter-in-law will help her run the business. The loan will allow Saibibi to start her family business and improve her quality of life.
