María Angélica's story

Angélica is 19 and lives with her common-law husband and their son. She currently has a business making and selling cheeses. She learned this activity from her parents. This business generates income to support her family and meet the basic needs of her young son. She is a hardworking and enterprising young woman, who has vision and his highly motivated to get ahead. Her family is her main reason for getting up day after day at 6 am to start her work and make her products. She sells her goods to her neighbors and to the shops in the area where she lives. She is able to overcome the obstacles that result from a lack of working capital.

For this reason she is seeking a loan, which she intends to use to buy milk at wholesale in order to provide continuity for her business. This will enable her to have enough products to comply with the orders she is receiving, and thus she will have the opportunity to sell more and generate more income. In doing this, she will come one step closer to fulfilling her dream, which is to open a shop selling dairy products, complying with all of the legal and health requirements. This would lead to opportunities to provide employment for other people and improve her family's quality of life.
