A loan of $1,300 helped to buy spare parts for his vehicle as well as do frame repair work on the chassis as it is deteriorating, to buy a new exhaust and to do other repairs..

Henry Jair's story

Henry is 24 years old and is single. He learned to fish when he was a child as he was born in a coastal zone in El Salvador. He learned from his father. They have always worked in this activity since employment opportunities in El Salvador are very minimal.

Henry fishes twice a week. Each day lasts a day and one night on the sea, setting nets and capturing the fish. During the night, they sleep seated in the boat and he takes turns with other coworkers. All the products that they get they sell in their own community. On days that he doesn't fish, he uses his pick-up truck to transport people who need to go to the city to do some shopping.

The loan he is requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy spare parts for his vehicle as well as do frame repair work on the chassis as it is deteriorating, to buy a new exhaust and to do other repairs. This way he will repair his vehicle so that it will always be ready when his neighbours need his services and he will not miss out on the opportunity to make some money for his family.

He plans to save and to buy a good, recent model car and a boat.
