A loan of $1,200 helped to buy 2 heifers.

René Alfredo's story

Rene is a 46 year-old man who is married and has 4 children. He is a model to follow; he currently works in the National Civil Police, but that doesn't stop him from also doing other work, such as animal husbandry. At this time he has 2 cows, and he wants to buy 2 more and then gradually increase his herd to a large number. He previously obtained a degree in agriculture, and this motivated him to work in the area of livestock production. In addition, he likes to have chickens since his wife can help with feeding them.

He buys the supplies he uses to care for his livestock, including vitamins and antibiotics, in the city. He then transports them to the fields where he has the cows. It takes a maximum of 45 minutes to make this trip.

Rene is requesting a loan from Fundacion Campo to buy 2 heifers so that he can grow his herd. He is motivated to continue in this line of work, which he enjoys. As a result, he will have more dairy products for his customers, and so he will have more income to improve the lives of his children, because two of his children are in school.

In the future, Rene sees himself with a lot of cattle. He also wants to plant fruit trees on his land, because he has a great passion for agriculture.
