A loan of $1,600 helped to buy piglets to raise and to buy milk products, cookies, grains, sweets, and cleaning products for her store.

Alejandra Del Carmen's story

Alejandra, 40, lives with her husband and three daughters. She was raised in the country, where she learned to farm. She now has coffee plants and raises piglets to sell in the market, along with her coffee harvest. She also has a small grocery store on her property, which has provided income to support her household.

Alejandra is enterprising and dedicated and is always looking for ways to be successful. She has applied for a loan to buy piglets to raise and to buy milk products, cookies, grains, sweets, and cleaning products for her store. She will have more animals to sell and more inventory in her store, which will increase her household income. She hopes to soon take full advantage of her farm resources by increasing her crops and buying more pigs, thereby realizing her most important dream.
