La Buena Union 1 Group's story

Martha is one of the members of the “La Buena Unión 1 (The Good Union)” group. They are micro-entrepreneurs who sell clothing, shoes, crafts, etc. Their sales points are in the city of Hato Mayor, a farming community in the northeast of the country.

Martha is a single mother of three children, two of whom still live with her. She tells us that her most difficult challenge has been raising her children, although she enjoys caring for them and attending church.

Martha is very excited about receiving her seventh loan from Esperanza Internacional, having repaid her previous loan satisfactorily and taken an important step toward growing her business. She has had her business for about four years; she started it with her first Esperanza loan.

Martha will use this new loan to buy body lotion, deodorant, shampoo, hair conditioner and other cosmetics. She will use the profits to gradually build her house, since her dream is to live in peace with her children in a good house. She thanks you for your support!
