A loan of $1,200 helped to buy fertilizer and herbicide. Another part will be used to stock a small business selling clothes as a street vendor that his life's companion has.

Juan Santos's story

Juan is a 44 year old man. He is married and the father of two children. He has a lot of experience in his activity (farming). He is also the owner a team of oxen that he works corn with in the winter and in the summer he hauls water to friends and neighbors from whom he receives payment. He learned this activity from his parents and he continues doing it on his own. The loan will be used to buy agricultural materials (fertilizer and herbicides). Another part of it will be used to stock a small business selling clothes as a street vendor that his life's companion has. With the loan, he will provide a benefit to his crop from which he hopes to have a bigger yield. He will have more income for his family and he will be able to pay off the loan. He will also be able to invest more in the clothes selling business, which also generates money for his family. HIs first goal is building his own house, growing his life's companion's business and also giving his 2 children and education.
