A loan of $425 helped to purchase and run one Fresh Life toilet.

Bernard's story

Bernard, a self-employed husband and father of two, is a resident of the informal settlement called Mukuru in Nairobi, Kenya. He currently owns a housing unit in the informal settlement, which he rents out to tenants.

After learning about Fresh Life toilets, Bernard was impressed enough to want to buy one for his own tenants. He was impressed by the fact that these toilets are easy to run yet ensure very high hygiene standards in a place where hygienic sanitation is rare.

Bernard is seeking a loan to fund the purchase of one Fresh Life toilet for his plot. He will use this as a way to provide a better and more reliable sanitation solution for the residents at his plot and be part of the Fresh Life community.
