A loan of $150 helped a member to build a decent latrine for her family.

Horn's Group's story

Horn, a villager from Takeo province, is 43 years old and married. She has three dependent children who are still in school. Her main source of income is from a pig-raising business and income from her husband who is working at construction site as a paid worker. She has been involved in her current business for 10 years. Horn has been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for three past cycles and has fully repaid back her prior loans with success. The past loans have enabled her to buy more pigs for raising and it has returned a decent income to keep her children in school. For this cycle, she joints a group of three members. As the leader, she will spend her loan portion to build a decent latrine for her family to improve to a high sanitation practice for her children to prevent any relevant disease.
