Diana Marisol's story

The República Del Ecuador Communal Bank meets every 15 days in the city of Manta, which is known for its beautiful beaches that are visited year-round, as well as for being a city of incomparable beauty with many tourist attractions.

This is where Diana lives. She is 29 years old, divorced, and she has a four-year-old son who is in kindergarden. She lives with her parents.

Diana works at a warehouse in the city and she also works in retail, selling Avon and Lebel products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and ladies' accessories) via catalog. She goes out to sell in her free time and she also sells at work. She sells her products on credit and she charges every week or every 15 days depending on her customers' preferences. This is how she earns her daily living as she has many expenses because her baby is sick and she has to pay for doctor visits and medicines very often.

She will use this loan to buy perfumes, costume jewelry, cosmetics, and creams. She is a founder of the communal bank and she likes it because of the benefits and loans the institution offers.

Her dream is for her child to be healthy.
