Humberto, 52, lives in the city of Chiclayo, in Guadalupe district, with his wife and two small children. He loves them and they are his main reason for living. He is a very friendly, hard-woring, and enthusiastic person who, together with his wife, puts all his efforts into moving his family forward. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources and because he had to work to help his parents from the time he was young, Humberto was not able to study the professional degree in Accounting that he wanted. In his free time, he likes to play with his children and sometimes he cooks a delicious Tallarín Saltado (stir-fried noodles) to share with his family.

On his own iniciative, with a lot of effort and dedication, Humberto works in carpentry and the upholstery of furniture. He works every day, from very early in the morning, and he may work about ten hours. He is very comfortable in his work and he believes that it is going well for him because of his good prices and the friendly way he treats others. Humberto is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help they have provided, he will be able to buy materials for work, like wood, glue, nails, and other materials. This way, Humberto will be able to continue with his work. He will keep working and making an effort to achieve his big dream of giving his children an education.
