A loan of $1,000 helped to buy several pigs and to make some improvements in her house.

Juana's story

Juana is 57 years old, is married and is the mother of three children, but only two live with her. She is engaged in household activities, taking care of barnyard fowl, taking care of a cow. She has always done this, and learned how to do it because these are activities that are done day to day in rural communities.

She buys medicine for her birds and cow in a city found 45 minutes from her house. She has to walk on foot to go to shop.

She will use the loan to buy several pigs and to make some improvements in her home. Thus, she will increase the growth of pigs and will be able to have a better income because she will have it available to provide more. With the improvements in her house, she will be able to live with better amenities.

Her future aspirations are to increase her herd.
