A loan of $200 helped to buy thread for sewing sweaters.

Pauline's story

Pauline is a single mother of three children ages 14,10, and 7. She pays school fees for the children, and takes care of all the family's basic needs.

Pauline operates a small business sewing and making sweaters for a school in Kagadi town, plus sells second-hand shoes in the same place. This has allowed her to look after her family for the past five years.

Pauline wants a loan of ugx.500,000 to buy thread to sew more sweaters for schools, because the demand is high currently and she has little capital for her business. She hopes to pay back the loan using the proceeds from the sale of sweaters.

Pauline's dream is to improve her business by buying more sewing machines. However, her major challenge is the seasonality of her business when students are on their holidays, and also the small capital she has for the business.

She is an hard-working person, and would like the lender to support her to meet her dream.
