George's story

George is a 56-year-old married man. He is a father of three children and he has worked as a butcher since 2006. He is multitasks in order to make sure he can provide his family with the necessities of life. George also works as a school bus driver, has a bakery, and works in construction, specializing in cement work. All of these businesses were established to cover his family's increasing expenses.

Today George is applying for a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua to buy a special meat mincing machine, a specialized "Kibbeh" making machine (Kibbeh is a delicious, traditional Lebanese food), an odor-expelling machine, and an aluminum separator.
