A loan of $1,175 helped to pay for 300 chicks, fodder, medicines, and tableware.

Yeli's story

Yeli is a 26-year-old single woman. She is a student at a local Bible School. She lives with her parents and helps them run their poultry business. Yeli’s parents each has their own business. Her father is running a cattle fattening business, while her mother is running a poultry business. In 2005, Yeli took over her mother’s business to increase the amount of income as well as to better improve the business.

Recently, Yeli had plans of increasing the number of chicks but she has limited capital to make it happen. Therefore she applied an individual loan from TLM amounting 12,000,000 Indonesia Rupiahs (IDR). She would like to spend the loan on 300 chicks, fodder, medicines, and tableware.

She hopes that the business will run well so she is able to support her educational costs and of course enable her to repay the loan back to TLM.
