A loan of $500 helped to purchase additional stock of fish.

Consolata's story

Consolata is 49 years old and she lives in Mombasa, Kenya. She supplies pampers to retailers and other customers who buy in bulk; that has been her business for the last two years. She also has a fish business and a charcoal business.

She knew Milango through friends who invited her to join. She had a previous Kiva loan that she paid back without any challenges. She has long-term plans to open a retail shop. The major challenges that she faces include the instability of prices and customers being hard to find.

She is married and blessed with two children. The extra income that she raises will improve their living standards and educate her children through college.
