Mariana De Jesús's story

Mariana is one of the founding members of the group El Cisne (the swan). She likes her communal bank group because of the unity and the friendship she shares will all the members, and also because she is able to talk to them on various topics pertinent to her whenever they meet. She lives on the outskirts of the parish Valle en Cuenca, a place that enjoys an abundance of vegetation, beautiful landscapes, and green fields. The people here are friendly, gentle, and hard working, they work mostly in the fields and raising livestock, but also work in commercial businesses and some work in town in various different kinds of jobs.

Mariana is 56 years old, married, and has given birth to 7 children, 5 of them are married and live on their own, he daughter is single and works and Mariana helps her a little financially, and her youngest son is studying in a local high school. Her husband works in construction as a bricklayer and the house they live in is their own.

Mariana works hard in her line of work, raising pigs, guinea pigs and chickens. She also works in agriculture during the harvest in her community.

This new credit will be invested in purchasing pigs and feed for the animals as well as fertilizer for her crops.

Her goal is to make the hen house for her chickens bigger and to be able to grow her business.
