A loan of $550 helped to buy farming supplies (seeds, compost, fertilizers).

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a single mother of two children. Since she was young she has been working on the land with her parents, who taught her this trade. She currently grows eggplant and yucca, which she sells in a local market in order to provide for her family. Elizabeth is a hardworking and active woman who is always seeking opportunities to help her get ahead. Over the last 15 years she has overcome many obstacles such as the climate that affect her crops when the rains cause floods. Elizabeth works long days from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., motivated by her children who are her driving force in life. That is why she is requesting this loan.

Elizabeth hopes to invest the money in the purchase of some farming supplies (seeds, compost, fertilizers) in order to continue sowing and harvesting her crops and eventually expand her production so that she will be able to better provide for her children and offer them a better quality of life.
