A loan of $725 helped a member to buy palm nuts and palm wine.

Mignonmide Group's story

Mignonmide is a group of three people, whose representative (the one with her hand raised in the photo) is called Josephine. The group members are friends from the same district who get their supplies from the same place. Josephine, who is 53 years old and married to a farmer called Benoit, is mother to two children, one of whom is at school. Josephine lives with her children and husband. She did not go to school and has for the past 15 years or so been selling palm nuts, palm wine and corn in a market in Benin; this enables her to take care of and feed her family. She gets her supplies in Benin. This is the fourth time that Josephine has requested a loan from Alidé so that she can build up her business and increase her turnover and income.
