Yem's story

Mr. Yem Y., 37, is a fisherman in Tonle Sap Lake. He has been fishing since 1992 and typically earns around $4 per day. His wife sells the fish. Their children are young and in school. Because fishing is their main income, Y. must improve his equipment and expand his business to increase his family's income, so he is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase a fishing boat.
