Donan Hulu Group's story

“Donan Hulu group” recently completed its first cycle of the program, Kiva. Growing their businesses and helped by loans from Kiva, the group is therefore back again to participate in the Kiva program for the next cycle.

The “Donan Hulu group” members did not change, and there are still six members. There are various types of businesses for the group, "Donan Hulu group", such as opening a handphone pulsa (mobile credit) counter and selling; selling clothes, tissue holders, mukenah (women’s Muslim prayer garment); selling snacks; selling tools and household items. They wanted to increase the variety and amount of goods they sell, so with the Kiva program, they ventured to borrow funds.

Reo is the leader of this group. She has a business selling household items and tools. Her husband works as a contractor. Reo has four children, and two are in school. With this loan, she wants to purchase other household appliances because her shop has limited types of items right now.

She dreams that in the future, she can open a fully stocked appliance store in Cilacap town center. She hopes that this loan from Kiva will help develop the businesses of all of the members.

In this group: Reo, Heni , Sri, Dwi, Nurbaeti, Sriyatin
