Shahnoza's story

Shahnoza is a young, married 29 year-old woman. She lives with her family in the city of Dushanbe. Shahnoza has a higher education in economics, but has not worked in her profession since getting married. Now Shahnoza decided to work and be an independent woman. Shahnoza's mother has a successful retail business. She sells fabrics and materials. Shahnoza has intentions to also start her own retail business. She already leased a retail outlet at the central market of the city. Shahnoza's starting capital amounts to 1000 US dollars. However, this amount is not enough to purchase merchandise. This is why Shahnoza requested a loan. Shahnoza wants to use the loan and her savings to purchase fabrics and materials and start her sales. According to Shahnoza's words, her mother, who brings merchandise from Turkey, will be the supplier of merchandise. Shahnoza believes that her business will also be successful because her mother will be helping her. Thanks to the loan, Shahnoza will have her own business, which will yield her a good income.
