A loan of $350 helped to buy additional raw materials such as palm leaves and bamboo for her business.

Lita's story

As a married mother of three children, Lita works hard to support her family. She has a business making nipa (woven palm mats used for house repair and construction) in the Philippines, and also earns additional income from raising pigs. Lita is borrowing 15,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) through NWTF to buy additional raw materials such as nipa leaves and bamboo for her business.

This is Lita's tenth loan, having successfully paid back all her previous loans and used them to sustain her business activities. She hopes that her hard work will help her attain her dream of saving enough money so she can afford to send her children to school.
