Luceros De Los Andes Ii Group's story

The “LUCERO DE LOS ANDES II” [Star of the Andes II] Communal Bank is applying for a second loan from the Los Andes Regional Office of Pro Mujer [Pro Woman]. LUCERO DE LOS ANDES II consists of eight members and is managed by a governing board led by the Chairwoman, Victoria. The members run various businesses, including wool textiles and the sale of shoes, fruits and other foods, and cosmetics.

The loan that the LUCERO DE LOS ANDES members are applying for will benefit the small businesswomen in the group. Victoria explains that she joined Pro Mujer seven years ago at the invitation of a representative from the institution who came to her home. Victoria's mother taught her to sell vegetables several years ago, and Victoria at first helped her mother. Victoria then decided to set up her own place of business, where she works now.

This loan will increase capital for the purchase of vegetables at markets in the city of El Alto. Victoria will then sell this produce sell at her place of business. Selling vegetables allows Victoria to earn income for household expenses. She is married and has a son.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Victoria answers that she likes the training and loans.

In this group: Victoria, Rita Doris, Sofia, Julia, Marga , Lucy Veronica, Vicenta , Evelin
