A loan of $1,425 helped to buy agricultural supplies for her crops.

Genia Lizeth's story

Genia is a 28 year old young woman. She is a merchant and a farmer. She has two children, and one of them is in elementary school. Her life partner is a farmer. He grows vegetables, corn, beans, and coffee. He also prepares coffee nurseries.

She only has a fifth grade education. She was not able to finish because of the lack of financial support from her parents. She also has a small grocery store, which is another means of income that helps her cover some of the household expenses like food, some medications, and clothing, among other things.

One of the challenges that people working in agriculture have is the rise of the prices of the agricultural supplies they use to take care of and maintain their crops. That is why she has requested a financial support from COMIXMUL. The loan is to be able to buy what she needs and to clear the pests from her harvests, avoiding contagious illnesses and others.

Her dreams are to see her children grow and become professionals with university degrees. She wants to see them with their own businesses or small businesses that help with their own growth and that of their families.
