A loan of $1,500 helped to buy 4 bullocks.

Julián's story

Julián, 21, has a spouse and they have a daughter. This young man has worked in agriculture since he was 10-years-old for he learned to work with his father who always told him that it would be useful for him when he had his own home. Now that he does have his own home he works even more willingly in order to support his family. He rises very early in the morning at 4:30am to take a young heifer he has and then returns to bring food and head off to work which is about a 30-minute walk away. He works about six hours and returns home to care for his home and spend time with his little girl who is only one and a half months old. To make his purchases he leaves home and walks 45 minutes to the bus stop to go to town; the ride takes an hour and then he returns.

The loan he’s asking Fundación Campo for is to buy four bullocks to put to pasture because he has the pastureland but doesn’t have the money to buy the bullocks.

His dream is to be able to build his own brick house since the one he has now is metal sheeting and he also dreams with owning dairy cows and with seeing his daughter graduate university since he didn’t have that opportunity.
