A loan of $1,600 helped a member to buy an overlock machine for the sewing business.

Lisa Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 24-year-old Emmaculate from Mutare. Emmaculate is a group member of the group called Lisa Group. She is married with two children and are both attending school. She also cares for two other dependents.

Emmaculate runs a clothing business which sells African attire and baby wear. The business has been in operation for six years. She says the main challenge faced is lack of industrial sewing machines. Emmaculate has requested a loan of $400 to buy an overlock machine for the sewing business. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve general family welfare.

In the future Emmaculate plans to operate her business in town where there are more clients.
