Evaline is a 28-year-old mother from Nyalenda, which is one of the slums in Kisumu city within the western part of Kenya. She supports five people in her family and is married to Samuel, who is also a small scale businessman. She has four children who are ten, six, four and two years old.
She sells secondhand clothes, a business she has been doing for the last ten years and generates a monthly income of KES 40,000. She is taking her third loan with KADET LTD, which she will use to purchase more bales of secondhand clothes so as to increase her stock. This will enable her to get more income to support her family and sustain the business. She will use the anticipated profit to plow back into the business.
Her dream is to grow the business and support her family.
