A loan of $300 helped to pay for fabric, cloth, thread, needles and other materials needed in her business.

Isidora's story

This is Isidora, 62, a resident of Malibay, Pasay, Philippines. She is married to Rolando and a mother to their children. Together with her husband, she manages their household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Isidora operates a tailoring business. She mainly offers curtains, bed sheets, blankets and other home trappings. Seasonal demands for clothing like uniforms and such are available all year round. She also does repairs and alterations. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of Php 500 in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a Php 12,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more raw materials like fabric, thread and other items needed in her business.

Isidora dreams of having more customers and hopes to help her family financially. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
