A loan of $325 helped to buy meat for her shop.

Manisha's story

Manisha is 23 years-old. She is married and has one child, aged 3. In 2011, she established her meat shop business. Working 7 days a week and 5 hours a day, she supports her family. She has already received and successfully repaid 6 loans from Patan BPW and used her most recent to buy chickens and buffalo meat. In the future, Manisha plans to uplift the economic condition of her family. She thanks you for your support. In Nepal, the meat is always fresh. In small stalls along busy roads, open air butcher shops sell chicken, goat, and water buffalo by the kilo. The stalls are piled high with product and sales are brisk. With the help of a Kiva loan, BPW's borrowers are able to purchase additional stock at better prices. This increase in purchasing volume creates greater profit margins for the borrower.
