A loan of $1,600 helped to buy a dairy cow and a weaned calf.

Arnulfo De Jesús's story

Arnulfo, 43, lives with his wife and his 19-year-old son. From a young age, he has always lived in the countryside, where his father taught him about farming and ranching. Due to a lack of education, it was not easy for him to find work opportunities. Because he does not know how to read or write, his only option was to be employed as a recycler at a scrapyard, where he has worked for 12 years. To complement his income, he has some dairy cows and breeding cattle that he raises and cares for, overcoming obstacles that present themselves, since farm supplies are expensive and the sale price of milk is constantly going down, which creates economic instability and a difficult situation in his house. This is why Arnulfo is asking for a third loan to invest in the purchase of a dairy cow and a weaned calf, with the goal of increasing production and improving his income through sales. This will help him achieve his dream of leaving his recycling job and dedicating himself to his family and caring for his animals. This way, he will be able to improve his family's quality of life and give his son the opportunity that he never had due to a lack of resources...education.
