A loan of $575 helped to buy agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and fungicides.

Luz Marina's story

Marina, aged 26, is a woman who carries out the agricultural tasks with endeavor and dedication, as her parents have taught her. From an early age she has been selling horse mats and thanks to all the time she has spent doing this, she has gained a reputation in the village where she lives and its surroundings, giving her the opportunity to offer her products to a large number of clients, thus earning money and resources to help sustaining her family.

Marina is a very entrepreneurial person, visionary and with a strong desire for self-improvement, which she demonstrates by the hard work she carries out every day. She also wants to prepare a piece of land for cultivating plantain, cassava, and yam; but for this she needs inputs which is why she is applying for this loan. She wants to use it to buy agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and fungicides. This way she can complement her business, offering a larger variety of products and increasing her income. This will help her to pursue her dream which is to amplify her crop farming and give her family more well-being and economic stability so that they can improve their lives.
