A loan of $550 helped buy a coffee maker and a selection of stuffed buns, pastries, and stuffed potatoes to sell.

Sandra Yaneth's story

Sandra, 32 years old, is a single mother who lives with her 2 children, aged 3 and 13. She has passed through difficult moments because she never had the help of the father of her children. And due to the lack of work opportunities, she lacked many necessities. This motivated her to initiate her own business. Sandra began selling natural juices and fried foods (several kinds of buns, including chicken, and stuffed potatoes). She began experimentally and, little by little, she acquired the ability to offer good service to her customers. Thus she managed to obtain the money needed for her family's daily support. Sandra is an enterprising and determined woman who pushes ahead conscientiously to offer her children economic stability. For this reason, she works long days, opening her stall at 6:00 am and closing it at 7:00 at night. With the loan Sandra requests, she intends to purchase a coffee maker and a selection of stuffed buns, pastries, and stuffed potatoes. She wants to offer a greater variety of products and satisfy the needs and likes of her customers who transit the location. Thus she will have a better opportunity of improving her income and achieving her dream of having her own shop, where customers can be more comfortable. And with this, she will be able to offer a better education to her children and improve the quality of life for all.
